A Lost Bag Won't Ruin My Vacation

I woke up very early to catch the first trip to Caticlan (3:30am). It was raining really hard, but this won't stop us from going to Boracay. Buses going to Caticlan would usually pass by in-front of our Barangay but due to the reconstruction of the bridge, buses now are taking a different route, so we have to leave the house a bit early.

We waited for about 30 minutes before we were able to catch the bus. I was still very sleepy and immediately after I sat, my eyes  automatically closed. But I did not have a good sleep because it was too cold inside and feeling ko nasa roller coaster ride ako. Sobrang bumpy ng ride.

We had several stop overs and I did not bother to go down to go to the toilet. These stop overs were usually short but in one stop that we had it took us around 30 minutes. Actually I woke up because there was some kind of discussion going on between the driver and the "konduktor". They were talking about missing stuff and they could not figure out where they lost it. Well I did not mind it, I thought it was just the stubs of the "konduktor".

I was so happy when the bus started to move again. But this happiness was just temporary. The "konduktor" went to me and told me that... my luggage got lost and they do not know where it got lost! After hearing this, I felt like I ingested a bucket of coffee. I was so alive and I could not explain how I felt at that time. I tried to understand the situation and not put too much pressure on the "konduktor". I know that no one wants that to happen.

According to them,  my bag got lost because of the faulty lock of the luggage compartment, plus the bumpy road which probably triggered the loosening of the lock.

I am thankful that the bag that got lost did not contain any important stuff.. well except for the chargers of my gadgets.

I am still hopeful that I will find my bag soon and I will enjoy Boracay even without my prepared swimwear and Snorkeling Equipment.
